Hello there! I’m Dumitru.

I have a documentary photography style, working across many disciplines of photography and strive to capture the aura of scenes. I want to help the viewer “feel” something – experience familiarity, provoke thoughts, or maybe unlock a memory.

One of my earliest memories of a camera is taking way too many photos with an old Polaroid 600, to the point that my parents hid it away from me (I broke everything I touched as a child)! I was fascinated by the fact that I could press a button on the plastic thing in my hands, and it would instantly print a photo of what I was seeing. The rest is history.

Growing up in Limerick I would often explore the West Coast of Ireland with family and friends, it’s likely the reason I adore coastal areas and nature so much. I’ve covered pretty much every inch of the Irish coastline at this point. I love road trips, and exploring new places!
