Having grown up in the era of analogue cameras, it was inevitable that I was going to buy one as my interest in photography evolved. There’s something special about pressing the shutter, and not being able to see the photo straight away – so for me, film always carries with it a certain element of mystery among other things.

While most photographers work exclusively with digital cameras, I find some photos taken with an analogue camera alluring. The softer colours, grain, depth – they oftentimes help subtract distractions, and personally give me a huge burst of nostalgia that can’t be replicated.

Below I will be sharing some stories – places visited, things seen, feelings felt. All photos were taken on my Minolta Dynax 505si or Canon T50, on various types of coloured and black and white film. All raw and unedited, developed by Alex and team at PrintPoint in Limerick.
